		Conspiracy is a name of a concept album by King Diamond, as the second part of a story (the first being Them).
		In this sequel to Them, an adult King returns to the House of Amon to reclaim his rightful place as heir to the house.
		He makes a deal with "Them", (the unseen antagonists from the album of the same name, part one of the story), to return control of the house to Them in exchange for the chance to see his now-dead sister again.

		I have been a King Diamond/Mercyful Fate fan since the early 80's, so it goes without saying that I love King Diamond's voice, which seems to be a problem for some other metalheads.
		Regardless of whether you have soured on King over the past 7 or 8 years, this is a worthy album and if he ever tours it I am positive it will be something to see.
		While at first glance at the booklet the backstory and actual plot of the album may seem corny, once you sit down and listen to the album and read along and follow, everything falls into place and the masterpiece that this album is begins to fall into place.

	King Diamond
		The new album was a bit more straight-forward and King increased the amount of high vocals on most songs of the album and the lyrics were kind of toned down, even though they were still heavily satanic, none of the songs was as extreme as "Nuns have no fun" or "Black Funeral".
		When the album was released, Fate even went to America to start a tour with Motorhead which was very successful, but during that time Hank Shermann wanted to do something different and it is said that he had even weared pink sweatsuits on stage.
		Not only the music on that one was excellent, but the story which King had made up in a dream showed that King was and still is writing one of the best lyrics in metal even though he was critizised very much for the stories of the songs on his early Mercyful Fate albums.
