Aruba and the other two member states are not fully independent -- Aruba's relation within the 'Kingdom of the Netherlands', based on the selfdetermination referendum held in 1977, the Agreement proclaimed in 1983, the Regulation for the Governor of Aruba and it's Constitution in force since augustus 1985, is more like a commonwealth relationship.

I talked to someone in Aruba about the security service shirt last night and was informed that it seemed to be "simply thrown away." Certainly there have been other items which we haven't been told about found during this search.
And in Aruba, because I have spoken with some, I know they and a great many other people fret and hope, not first for tourism, but for Natalee Holloway and the best possible resolution of this case on behalf of Natalee and her family.
From Aruba - It's been suggested that recently arrested Steven Gregory Croes was in Carlos and Charlies the night of Natalee Holloway's disappearance, and some think he joined the group in the car later that night.

I Think that here in Aruba, the authorities are more interested in solving the case than in having a public relations circus, where they have to come forward everytime they have a new lead, information or everytime they speak to the suspects.
And you could argue that point all the way to the bank, I had a client who plead guilty to a crime, only to take the stand and state that the house being entered was believed to be the grandmother of the person he was with.
