Consumer Reports - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Consumer Reports is an American magazine published monthly by Consumers Union, a non-profit organization founded in 1936 by Arthur Kallet, Colston Warne, and others who felt that the established Consumers Research organization was not aggressive enough.
Consumer Reports is known for publishing reviews and comparisons of consumer products and services based on reporting and results from its in-house testing laboratory.
Consumer Reports should not be confused with Consumers Digest, a for-profit publication which does accept advertisements and allows companies to use its reviews for marketing purposes.

Consumer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A consumer is assumed to have a budget which can be spent on a range of goods and services available on the market.
In 'time series' models of consumer behaviour, the consumer may also invest a proportion of their budget in order to gain a greater budget in future periods.
Consumer could also be seen as an offensive term, implying that both an adult and a child's only function is to buy (consume) a product and discard it after only a short period of time.

Before giving you an individual's consumer report, the CRA will require you to certify that you are in compliance with the FCRA and that you will not misuse any information in the report in violation of federal or state equal employment opportunity laws or regulations.
You cannot get consumer reports unless the employees have been notified that reports may be obtained and have given their written permission.

Perhaps, but Bucholz is not exactly an uninformed consumer; he’s president of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and chair of the orthopedic surgery department of the medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas.

Consumer Reports, for example, has no power over the industries that it monitors and because of that fact it can answer to consumers alone.
