  About Consumerpedia - The information resource everyone can help build
Please note that Consumerpedia is still very much in early beta testing, so any and all feedback and suggestions to help further build, refine, and improve Consumerpedia are sincerely encouraged and greatly appreciated.
Because the Consumerpedia type of content is naturally hierarchical, we developed a hierarchical tagging system to help users better navigate through the system.
The Consumerpedia karma system is not yet fully implemented, but when it is, each user will have a karma ranking based on how helpful their actions have been as judged by other users.

Only Pinks think that social justice can or should be achieved before natural capital is safe, so Consumerpedia may be really the Pinkpedia, while Recyclopedia might be the Greenpedia.
As trolls made clear, we did only the minimum work possible to ensure that the Consumerpedia does not go off and invent its own terms for well-defined and necessary things to keep wikis reflexive.
We aren't willing to compromise on any of that, nor tolerate competitive projects that claim to be allied ones, nor sysop vigilantiism in any form.

I don't yet see how it accommodates multiple points of view, as the About page promises, but I'm sure that'll be clear once someone posts a multiple point of view.
Consumerpedia has posted a helpful response and explanation on their blog.

The Consumerpedia is a GodKing-and-sysop power structure-based project to create a GFDL corpus resource specifically to enable moral purchasing, which means only what the GodKing and his sysops say it means.
It claims to provide information that consumers need to develop strategies for engaging in moral purchasing and moral living, to evaluate the morality behind their purchases, and to locate enterprises or products they need.
So, very likely, the best cases where we don't need it at all, aren't realistic, they're just visions worth working towards but not to be expected as an outcome.

You just need to go to http://www.consumerpedia.org,type in something that is unique to your company (like the domain name or a product that is uniquely yours) and click on the Claim This Page at the bottom.
You need to link back to consumerpedia to prove that you're the owner of the site but once the page is linked, you can remove the link or keep it up and send customers there to comment about your site.
Consumerpedia will continue to link to your site either way.

Thanks to all who have stopped by Consumerpedia and made additions and suggestions!
Along with all the great user feedback, we also finally got two of our alpha testers to sit down with us and they pointed out many obvious (to them, not to us!) things that needed to be addressed (thanks!)
Many changes will soon be coming to the Consumerpedia site - first addressing basic usability issues (doh!), then additional site functionality to follow after that.

just stumbled across consumerpedia (via david weinberger), a new site (only a dozen registrations so far) trying to combine wikipedia-like “the-community-administers-everything” behaviour, a slashdot-like rating system and a google-like frontpage with the business model of epinion and its million replicas (e.g.
see the review of my notebook i’ve created to try consumerpedia.
consumerpedia seems to be a blatant attempt to quickly create content that will rank well in search engines to produce clicks on high-value PPC-keywords with google’s adsense program.

Consumerpedia: I’m not sure relying on auto-summed, explicit, numerical repuations systems will work.
