USS Yamato - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
She was a sister ship of the USS Enterprise, NCC-1701-D. She was first seen in the TNG episode "Where Silence Has Lease", and was seen for the second time in "Contagion".
She was lost due to a computer failure during the events of the episode "Contagion".
The episode "Contagion" is the next, and final appearance of the USS Yamato.

Beta VI is a Federation colony world mentioned in the TOS episode "The Squire of Gothos" that was the destination of the USS Enterprise before the Trelane entity acosted the command crew for his entertainment.
In the TOS episode "The Naked Time", Psi 2000 was in the midst of a planetary break up which caused strange gravity fluctuations that warped space and time and caused the crew of the Enterprise to go mad.
It was featured in the TOS episode "Mudd's Women" where Mudd strikes a deal with the lonely miners to trade his women for dilithium.

Worf was on an away team from the Enterprise-D that discovered one of these gateways (see the TNG episode "Contagion").
(Note: when the Jem'Hadar were introduced in the episode "The Jem'Hadar", with their cloaking field, a notation in the script indicated that the thought behind it was that the Jem'Hadar were bred by the same people who had bred the Tosk).
In "The Host" [TNG], it was established that symbionts were damaged by transporters, but this was dropped for DS9.

They were introduced in "Schisms" [TNG] but they've shown up in "Force of Nature" [TNG], and a tetryon field is the result of an metaphasic shield interaction in "Suspicions" [TNG].
Given the way the name is used in various episodes, it appears to be a coherent technology exploiting a feature of the universe (a la warp) not just anything faster than warp.
The only hint that TOS, the classic films, and TNG warp drives might be different is in their visual appearance on screen - in the classic films the Enterprise "blurs" while in warp.

To the Death - Memory Alpha
This episode featured Iconian gateways, previously featured in an episode of TNG called "Contagion".
This episode marks the first appearance of Weyoun (Jeffrey Combs) on the series.
The Iconian gateways enable people to travel all over the galaxy to different star systems without the use of a starship and were built thousands of years ago by aliens who seem to have disappeared.

 Inconsistencies
In this episode, the Holodeck floor appears to be smooth and shiny, as if it were polished linoleum.
But, I noticed that the stardate of this episode is 41601, yet in 'THE ARSENAL OF FREEDOM' the date is later than that, at 41798, though she appears in the episode.
In this episode, whilst Riker’s father is visiting Pulaski in sickbay, she mentioned that she had just been treating a crewman suffering from the flu.

Ex Astris Scientia - Starfleet Ship Classes A-K
In the latter episode we see that the double beam of the aft phaser array fires from either side of the dome above the hangar deck of the Defiant, and aft torpedoes are available too.
Gene Roddenberry proposed that the latter was first designated as USS Yorktown and later recommissioned as Enterprise 1701-A. It is a reasonable assumption that most of the remaining ships were refurbished likewise in the 2270s.
Apart from the three-nacelle version in TNG "All Good Things", there is another Galaxy variant with additional engine top pieces, probably phaser strips, the Venture from DS9: "Way of the Warrior".

The Great Link : Enterprise Review, Michael Marek reviews 'Extinction' [Episode Review]
The episode is not as bad as I feared, but the script by André Bormanis is rescued only by strong acting and by the humanistic conclusion of the episode.
The director for this episode was Levar Burton who, as Geordi, had to act the role of his bodily transformed character.
This episode includes a brief scene, possibly inspired by the hit TV series CSI, in which we zoom inside Archer’s body and see his skeleton and heart transforming into the alien anatomy.

The TNG Tech Manual furthermore confirms this, stating that in the 23rd century, experiments with single nacelles and three nacelles resulted in failure.
Many have tried to rectify this by explaining that the Galaxy style warp nacelles have two sets of coils, meaning the ship would essentially have six nacelles, or that the Enterprise is armed with some form of transwarp that makes these rules obsolete.
In light of the TNG Tech Manual comments though, I did acknowledge the fact that odd numbers of nacelles cause problems, and labeled the "fins" on the pylons as warp stabilizers which improve efficiency.
