Contemporary classical music - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Contemporary classical music can be heard in film scores and other program music, such as Tan Dun's score for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Philip Glass's score for The Hours, Howard Shore's scores for Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings films, and Karl Jenkins' theme used by De Beers in their advertising campaign.
In the early part of the 20th century contemporary music included modernism, the twelve tone technique, atonality, unresolved and greater amounts of dissonance, rhythmic complexity and neoclassicism.
Contemporary music composition has been altered with growing force by computers in composition, which allow for composers to listen to renderings of their scores before performance, compose by layering performed parts over each other as John Adams is known to do, and to disseminate scores over the internet.

Contemporary Christian music - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Contemporary Christian Music (or CCM) is a somewhat outdated term originally used in the 1970s to describe a new form of pop/rock music that was lyrically based in the Christian faith.
This music had its roots in "Jesus Music", which sprung from the hippie Jesus Movement of the early 70s.
Cartman decides to produce Christian music to this end: "All we have to do is cross out words like 'baby' and 'darling' and replace them with 'Jesus'." Defenders consider this argument unfair and point to the fact that many artists, even non-Christian ones, draw from their influences and imitate other artists.

The "bad presence" in Mycielski's and Kisielewski's music was influenced by their public activity in the sphere of politics as a result of which their works were frequently sentenced by communist authorities to absence from musical life and the composers themselves were forced to a type of "inward" emigration.
The music of Zygmunt Krauze (born 1938) is usually classified as belonging to this minimalist style and the composer is regarded one of the forerunners of the style in Europe.

 Atopos Contemporary Classical Music
The music of some of the most important composers and interpreters of our time has drifted over the sandstone walls and walks of Sogna to mix with the perfume of gorse and be captured on DAT before disappearing within the labyrinthine Tuscan hills.
These DATS contain important moments which are often unique and without the possibility of repetition; musical experiences which though quite disparate, are nevertheless each an integral part, link and cell of the contemporary musical culture.
The catalogue which is being developed, therefore, emphasizes a repertoire which is central to the international contemporary music scene without, however, ignoring compositions, such as the Quatuor pour la fin du temps by Messiaen, which are twentieth-century masterworks.

This was the prototype of a homegrown Hawaiian instrument that became known as the ukulele.
The bouncy ukulele, the falsettos of Hawaiian crooners, the smooth ring of the "steel" guitar, and the melodious strains of the slack-key guitar all became an integral part of traditional Hawaiian music.
The 1970's also saw a musical renaissance led by "Pops" Gabby Pahinui and younger musicians who are now composing new Hawaiian music, often in the Hawaiian language and using ancient Hawaiian instruments - an attempt to return to the roots of their culture.
