TERM PAPER ON CONTEMPORARY SOCIOLOGICAL THEORY
The contemporary and traditional theorist of sociology presented 3 assumptions related to the conflict theory, which are the basic elements of conflict with in a class society.
Therefore, sociological theory is related to the very issues of a society and the organizations and institutions in it.
Though Ralf’s theory is depicted from Marx work but it is an extension and alteration of the social issues and class structure made according to the contemporary sociology of the various societies and classes that are affected by globalization and the changing trends of global politics.

Such an approach is designed to facilitate your understanding of the origins of sociological theory, its connections to more contemporary theories, and the ways in which theory applies to life.

In addition to fostering a greater understanding of theory, its history, its development, and its applications, the course will prepare you to compare and contrast the subject matter in both written (papers) and oral (class presentation) forms.

T/Th I have two major goals for this course: first, for you to become conversant with the most important theories in contemporary sociology, and, second, for you to be able to analyze, use, and criticize those theories.
Thus, we will discuss the early history of sociology and the development of sociological theory, and (more briefly) what a "theory" is, how we can "do" theory, how we might choose between competing theoretical perspectives, and what consequences these choices have on the development of sociology.
We will focus our attention particularly on contemporary theories and theorists, which means that we will attend to the "masters" less than we should for an adequate understanding of current theories.

All too often, in the opinion of the authors, theory texts focus too much on individual theorists and insufficiently on the relationship between their theories, and how these have contributed, in turn, to the evolution of ideas concerning social life.
Treatment of individual theories and theorists is balanced with the development of key themes; ideas about social life (introduced in Chapter 1) which then reappear in the discussion of individual theorists and their work.
