 Control room design
For medium or small plants control rooms may be within the plant building or control panels may be located local to the plant.
Whatever the location, control rooms should be designed to ensure that the risks to the occupants of the control room are within acceptable limits and that it is suitable for the purposes of maintaining plant control, should the emergency response plan require it, following any foreseeable, undesirable event within the plant.
Control panels on the plant itself cannot be so easily be protected, therefore diversity and redundancy should be applied to ensure that plant control can be maintained in an emergency.

Jehane Noujaim, one of the directors of "Startup.com" showed up in Iraq with a camera to chronicle the news coverage of last year's war, and what she got was a slapdash selection of random moments that may be occasionally informative but fail to tell the story.
If the "Control Room" grab bag yields one worthwhile observation, it is the difference between the thoroughly managed American press corps, taking its daily handouts from military spokesman several countries away from the action, and the Al Jazeera crews getting the news firsthand from Iraqis on the ground.
"Control Room" is probably as good a patchwork as she could stitch together from the scattered pieces she brought back from Qatar, but is not the work of a lucky filmmaker.

Control Room shows how coverage is tailored to fit the audience, both by al-Jazeera and its Western counterparts.
Control Room isn't a systematic dissection of Al Jazeera's possible biases regarding the U.S. or Israel; it's noted that Arabs almost invariably view the war with Iraq in the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict while Americans rarely do.

"Control Room," while it takes a more sympathetic view of the network, is also attuned to the paradoxes and predicaments, as well as the dangers, its journalists face.
Most of those who appear in the film are skeptical, to say the least, of the Bush administration's policies, but they also cling to a journalistic ethic of objectivity and fairness, trying to navigate between their political allegiances and the code of their craft.

Control Room, which begins in March 2003 with the U.S. poised to invade Iraq, is set entirely in the realm of information—namely the Gulf state of Qatar, where Al Jazeera is based, along with the American military information station Centcom.
This science fiction realm of white sand beaches, humongous satellite dishes, and frenzied media mavens is the front line of an image war that turns actual once George W. Bush appears as a televised hologram to issue his ultimatum to Saddam Hussein—and then the bombs start falling.
Indeed, the title Control Room takes on a somewhat different meaning as the filmmakers observe the management of the American press.
