 | | It is the city council’s intent that the regulation and control of potentially dangerous or dangerous dogs as defined in RCW 16.08.070 should apply in the city through enforcement by the city’s interlocal agreement with King County. |
 | | All dogs and cats harbored, kept or maintained in city over four (4) weeks of age shall be licensed and registered annually; provided, that an altered two (2) year license may be purchased; provided, further, that dogs kept in kennels need not be licensed, except as provided in KCC 8.03.080. |
 | | A. The animal control authority is authorized to take such lawful action as may be required to enforce the provisions of this chapter and the laws of the state as they pertain to animal cruelty, shelter, welfare and enforcement of control, including regulation of dangerous and potentially dangerous dogs. |
