Worf episodes are generally good, and this one is no exception.
On a serious note, though the episode isn't the most exciting one, it is Data-centric and quite memorable.

I've always felt that "Measure of a Man" was their best episode, because it dealt so wonderfully with the issue of what is it that makes one a human being, or in the Trek universe, a sentient life form, worthy of respect and basic human rights.
I always believed the best episodes were th ones that could have taken place on a submarine or an island or the old west, that the sci-fi aspect was just window dressing to the storytelling.
But TNG was a brave and entirely new show and her appearance made some of those episodes very disjointed.

The plot was both tighter and looser than that of "Conundrum".
I tend to not worry much about the first (I've seen and read enough fantasy and SF in my time that suspending disbelief is not generally a tough thing for me to do), but the second can rankle.
The objections I've seen others raise about "Conundrum" are of the first group, and this really didn't have any of those.

I am assuming that 1000 Star Date units equal one year, that one season in all series except for the orginal one takes over the span of one year, the stardate callendar was re-set a couple times, and if a date is not mentioned in the episode, it takes place after the previous episode.
I am sorting the episodes by the date given in the episode This explains why some episodes may not be listed in the order they where aired in.

In the episode "Relics" Scotty made the statement "I'll bet Kirk himself brought the old girl out of mothballs to find me", or words to that effect.
I don't think we can dismiss the paradox as Scotty not believing Kirk to have been killed, there had to be a funeral and it was the official date of his death, at least until the time frame of "Generations".

Star Trek The Next Generation (TNG) really did an excellent job of continuing on after the final episodes of the original Star Trek, combining the great scripts of the first Star Trek with the advances in filmaking since that time and a new terrific cast!!
Of all the original series and next generation episodes PLUS all the movies, only the Star Trek The Next Generation tv show episodes "Family" and "Liaisons" contain no scenes on the bridge.
The scripts for the episodes, "The Child" and "Devil's Due" were originally were originally written for the proposed "Star Trek: Phase II" tv show which was later terminated.
