Coolah (31°50′S 149°43′E) is a town with about 1082 people in the central northern part of New South Wales, Australia in Warrumbungle Shire.
On the northeastern side of the area is the Liverpool Range with the Coolah Tops National Park.
Coolah was served by a branch railway from c1920 to c1970.

 Welcome to the Warrumbungle Shire Council
On Wednesday 25th August, 2004 Professor Marie Bashir AC, Governor of the State of NSW declared the Areas of Coolah and Coonabarabran to be amalgamated so as to constitute the new Warrumbungle Shire.
Elections were held on Saturday 5th March, 2005 to elect the first Council for the new Shire, consisting of 9 Councillors.
Council looks forward to the challenges of this new Shire and encourages residents to contact Council with their concerns, thoughts and ideas.

Their Southern boundary was south of Coolah, and they also occupied parts of the upper, and possibly middle Hunter Valley.
The park is 30km from the township of Coolah, and can be access by 20km of tar road, and 10km of a rocky dirt road.
We stayed in the caravan park at Coolah, which was ok, and the hospitality of the township was exceptionally good, with the bakery, and the Service Station on the road to Duneedo being exceptionally good.
