	Coombe Hill, Buckinghamshire - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Coombe Hill is a hill in The Chilterns, located near the town of Wendover, and overlooks Aylesbury Vale.
		It is not to be confused with another Coombe Hill on the flank of Haddington Hill, some 4 kilometres to the north-east.
		The hill once formed part of the Chequers Estate but was given to the National Trust by the UK government when they were given the estate in the 1920s.

		The Coombe Hill five miler is a small race run in (surprise!) the Coombe Hill region of Kingston.
		Mile four then was pretty much entirely uphill, but I got into a good rhythm and really enjoyed pushing hard up the hill, with the sun shining through the trees for a 6:01 split.
		This took me to the fast descent which is the first half of the final mile.

		Moments later I had discovered the Coombe Hill Meadows Nature Reserve and some 3 - 3.5 joyous hours later I continued on up the A38 to a very late, but even more enjoyable supper.
		I walked as far as the footbridge at SO 86252680 (OS map reference) and then thoroughly enjoyed a walk back along the various rights of way to the car park at the end of the canal.
