Unlike the old bridge, there is not any real “wee” affect going down the back side of the new bridge.
This race is awfully crowded, and if nothing is done about it it will soon turn into a 10K fun run since no one can get out and perform their best or at least perform their best for that day/point in their training.

Seven Marines and one Corpsman ran in the Cooper River Bridge 10K Run in Charleston, S.C., on Saturday, with the fastest runners crossing the finish line in less than an hour, said John Szczepanowski, project manager for the team.
In March, 10 Marines studying at the Citadel and 12 Citadel cadets are giving up part of their Spring Break to participate in the Cooper River Bridge Run to raise money for the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund.
Also running, is Team Semper Fi, a group of amputees sponsored by the Fund.
