Copa America is the oldest running international tournament in the World.
Copa America was first held in 1916 contested by the ten teams that make up the CONMEBOL and in recent years guest teams such as Mexico from CONCACAF (Central and North American Soccer Association) have been invited to participate in this prestigious tournament.
Last time it was held in Colombia, Copa America 2001 and Colombia won the cup even though there was some controversy and also some threatens towards the national team of Argentina which didn't participate on this event.
