Copacabana (At The Copa) by Barry Manilow Songfacts
The Copacabana is a famous nightclub in New York City named after a district in Rio de Janeiro.
A parody of this song was used in an episode of The Simpsons.
"Copacabana" was said by Barry to have been a "novelty" or "throwaway" song, but those songs usually don't lead off an album by being the first song on it, as "Copa" is, so obviously someone in charge somewhere figured on "Copa" being a single and a hit before the "Even Now" album was released.

 Copacabana (Review)
Being a fan of Barry Manilow's song "Copacabana," I had high hopes for the stage musical production of the same name that opened in Sacramento on January 30 at the Community Center Theater.
The song opens, "Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl..." - That pretty much sums up the plot, as COPACABANA follows Lola (Darcie Roberts) arriving in New York in 1947 with the dream of being a Copa Girl.
Other notable songs that will stick in your mind include, "Sweet Heaven," and Lola's audition tune, "Man Wanted," which is truly terrible until Tony picks up its tempo and tells Lola not to sing it in the "mating position" on top of the piano.
