In the preferred embodiment, the microstrip and coplanar waveguide are made of 2 micrometer thick gold with a 10 nm thick titanium adhesion layer by electron-beam evaporation and lift-off etching processing.
For the latter case, the 50-ohm coplanar waveguide is transformed to the 50-ohm microstrip line by direct connection of the central line of coplanar waveguide to microstrip line.
Coplanar phase shifters made from conventional tunable materials are extremely lossy, and useless for phased array antennas at K and Ka bands.

 Defining a Coplanar Port
It is similar to a differential port, but coplanar ports are applied to objects on slot layers (that is, where slots are used in the design).
Coplanar ports should be used in situations where an electric field is likely to build up between two ports.
Note Port numbers for coplanar ports are treated in the following manner: on the layout, you will continue to see the port numbers (instance names) that were assigned to each port when they were added to the layout.

We investigated whether coplanar judgments worsened when the ratio cue was made ambiguous.
Observers judged whether the test surface was closer or farther away than the extended surface of the reference (i.e., coplanar).

Coplanar Waveguide- Microwave Encyclopedia - Microwaves101.com
"Classic" coplanar waveguide (CPW) is formed from a conductor separated from a pair of groundplanes, all on the same plane, atop a dielectric medium.
A variant of coplanar waveguide is formed when a ground plane is provided on the opposite side of the dielectric, which is called finite ground-plane coplanar waveguide (FGCPW), or more simply, grounded coplanar waveguide (GCPW).
The advantages of coplanar waveguide are that active devices can be mounted on top of the circuit, like on microstrip.

Any transmission line with three coplanar conductors, where the center conductor is fed 180 degrees out of phase with the two outer conductors, can be considered a coplanar waveguide line.
Grounded Coplanar: The bottom of the substrate has a metal ground plane which is electrically connected to the two outer conductors.
Floating Coplanar: Use push-pull ports because the metal on the bottom of the substrate is not connected to the two outer conductors.

Regalo also contends that the legs of the accused device do not pivot about their pivot connection into and out of the plane defined by each hinged member of the central hub to a compact non-coplanar configuration, but, rather, the leg pairs remain in the same plane as the hinged members.
Thus, Regalo's concern that the term "radially" has no meaning unless the "coplanar" and "noncoplanar" language of Claim 1 is interpreted to include the legs with respect to the hub is unfounded.
Therefore, this Court concludes that Regalo's attempt to read into the claim language the requirement that the "coplanar" and "non-coplanar" language references the position of the legs with respect to the hub is unsupported by the patent itself.

Finite Ground Coplanar (FGC) Waveguide Evaluated for Communication Circuits
Traditionally, radiofrequency and wireless circuits have employed a microstrip or coplanar waveguide to interconnect the various electrical elements that comprise a circuit.
Although a coplanar waveguide (CPW) is widely viewed as better than a microstrip for most applications, it too has problems.
All these results indicate that the FGC waveguide is a better transmission line than the coplanar waveguide and the microstrip for radiofrequency and wireless circuits.

The Coplanar Strips model does not appear directly in the Si6000b, however there is a very simple adjustment you can make to one of the standard structures in the Si6000b to enable you to predict the finished impedance.
Simply select the "Differential surface coplanar waveguide" (the one without a lower ground plane) and set the "D" dimension so it is 20 x the "S" dimension.
This way the adjacent coplanar grounds will be far enough away to have negligible influence.

This isn't for visual LOD, this is simply to try and remove unnecessary triangles from within a coplanar face and the face remains exactly the same shape.

Coplanar - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A set of points is said to be coplanar if and only if they lie on the same geometric plane.
Other points can be shown to be coplanar by determining that the scalar product of a vector that is normal to the plane and a vector from any point on the plane to the point being tested is 0.
