Deadpool #56 Review - Silver Bullet Comics
Being an insanely jealous woman, Copycat decides to deal with this rival for her man's affections, by heading to meet Theresa herself.
Heading home after a long day's work, Deadpool finds Copycat is in a bit of a sour mood, and when he answers the door to find himself greeted by an equally pissed off Theresa, we see Deadpool can only watch as his relationship with both these woman goes in the toilet.
The mental instability of Copycat is also nicely conveyed in this issue, as the fact that she was willing to almost kill Theresa to keep her from seeing Deadpool is a good indicator that someone's not altogether upstairs.

With Copycat hidden away, we see Deadpool heads out to deal with Kane, and thanks to the liberal use of some explosives Deadpool is able to blow Kane to kingdom come.
Oh I understand the story dynamics of why she's a target, but the final pages make it abundantly clear that she was far more than just a simple test of Deadpool's loyalty to the Weapon X program.
I also have to ask the question of while they were busy amping up her powers, why the Weapon X program simply didn't insert a device in Copycat that could eliminate her with greater ease (e.g.

 Plastic Man #1
DC Comics is usually the one to step forward with exceptional material, although many pundits consider DC’s management and editorial staff to be conservative and stuck-in-the-mud.
Plastic Man #1 is probably the best new comic of 2003, and it comes closest to capturing the manic and wildly inventive spirit of the Golden Age Plastic Man comics created by Jack Cole for Quality Comics.

It didn't take a genius to see that the big comics story of 2003 was going to be the continued rise of manga.
The difficulty, however, is that if an American publisher tries to produce a comic in the paperback or digest formats that work for manga, then there is a high risk that that will be seen as copying.

 Comic-Book Superstore: Alan Moore
Alan Moore is, and deserves to be, a highly regarded author of what we should still call comic books (other names seem largely a reflex action hide embarrassment - which makes me annoyed to see them referred to as "the graphic story medium" in this book).
He has in more recent years created a line of comics under the imprint "America's Best Comics", of which Promethea is one of those titles.
The comic book has continued, so the rest will be in volume 2, but it still a bit inconsiderate.

Forty percent of publications produced in Japan are comics, which provide 30 percent of Japanese publishing revenue.
But the comics, or manga, market in Japan is divided into two types: one is purely (or as pure as one can get) original work; the other is "amateur" or copycat comics, which develop the work of original artists in different and unauthorized ways.
And as comics move online, through the increasing penetration of online games, the dojinshi market is only expected to increase.

This sounds like a joke on paper but anyone even remotely familiar with Cobra Verde will know that while the band would never take themselves too seriously, they also are nothing if not unconditionally real.
To get back to the positive, Copycat Killers is the rock 'n' roll equivalent of the jazz tradition of covers.
Covers in rock tend to be needless, a way for a band to have fun and charge fans for the mediocre output.
