		Like writers of literature, writers of software should not be expected to constantly look over their shoulders out of fear that someone someday may try to sue them due to partial or accidental similarities with the works of others.
		Software which is complex and original enough to deserve patent protection doesn't need it; and software which is simple enough to require patent protection doesn't deserve it.
