  Coralville, Iowa - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Coralville is a city in Johnson County, Iowa, United States.
In its early days Coralville was home to several mills that were powered by a dam along the Iowa River, but all of the mills had closed by 1900.
Coralville is also the location where some 1300 Mormon immigrants stopped in their migration of 1856, having traveled west to Iowa City and the end of the rail line and making camp.

The main commercial strip of Coralville, Iowa was flooded several times during the Summer of 1993 from the overflowing Iowa River and its tributaries.
Much of Lower City Park in Iowa City, seen in the lower right of this image, was under several feet of water for during the Summer and into the Fall of 1993.
The Iowa River also flooded a subdivision (Normandy Drive), seen in the upper center of this image, which was built on the floodplain.
