Corbridge is a town in Northumberland, England, situated 25 km (16 miles) west of Newcastle and 6 km (4 miles) east of Hexham.
Long thought to have been known to the Romans as Corstopitum (wooden writing tablets found at Vindolanda suggest it was probably called Coria), it was the most northerly town in the Roman Empire, lying at the junction of Stanegate and Dere Street.
Built in the 14th century, the Vicar's Pele is to be found in the southeast corner of the churchyard, and has walls 1.3 m (4 feet) in thickness.

It's been two years since secretary Jennifer Miller filed a lawsuit against the CU Board of Regents and her former boss, James Corbridge, the chancellor of the Boulder campus from 1986 until 1994, claiming harassment and discrimination during the six years she worked in the "sexually charged atmosphere" of Corbridge's office.
Miller's suit raises questions not only about Corbridge's treatment of her but about his dealings with several other female university employees--including high-ranking administrators--during the years he supervised day-to-day operations of the Boulder campus and its ten colleges.
But it may be the most bitterly contested one of all; while most of the other cases have resulted in out-of-court settlements that prevent the litigants from discussing their claims, the Miller lawsuit has proceeded practically to the eve of trial with much of the discovery process sealed under protective orders of a federal court.

Enlarged isometric diagram of Lorica Segmentata "Corbridge" Armor Type-B. Note that the shoulder guard components are connected to the torso girdle section by bronze hooks and eyes, instead of by straps and buckles, as used on the Corbridge Type-A lorica armor.
This was a later style of the Corbridge type lorica segmentata armor and retained most of the wearing comfort of the Corbridge Type-A. The "hook and eye" connections, along with one less girdle plate (7 versus 8 for the Corbridge-A) simplified its construction and assembly.
Also, the shape of the main shoulder guard plates varied from those of the Corbridge-A. The "B" style had wider collar plates providing somewhat more coverage and protection for the chest and upper back.
