The internationally recognized Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, is publishing its first print portfolio in 2005 as part of its program to support and promote contemporary printmaking.
Evans’ was invited to be one of twenty-four internationally recognized printmakers who will be included in the portfolio, which will be shown at the Corcoran Museum of Art from March 26 through August 11, 2005 to coincide with the annual meeting of the Southern Graphics Council and various other print exhibitions in the nation's capital.

Washington's Corcoran Museum will finally be expanded according to the proposal of Frank Gehry, who won the competition held in 1999.
The formal interpretation of the new project is reminiscent of the now mythical curved surfaces of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, which is holding a major retrospective in honour of its creator at the moment.
The Fine Arts Commission has now finally approved the construction of the building, to be located just behind the gallery and across from the American Institute of Architects on New York Avenue.

Linda Cheetham has written a booklet entitled The Innocent Researcher and the Museum, which I have found to be a very useful guide to the do's and don'ts of using museum research facilities.
