There are two different ways in which you can create PDF files from Corel Draw: you either select 'Publish to PDF' from the 'File' menu or you print to a PostScript file and use Acrobat Distiller or another tool to convert the PostScript data to a PDF file.
If you choose this option, Corel Draw sends the EPS as is into the PDF as a PS passthrough (This is what PitStop calls 'in-line PostScript' while Adobe uses the term 'PostScript XObject').

I was knocked for a loop by the complexity of Corel Draw 8.
The dummies Corel 8 book isn't out yet, but I gleaned during the presentation that the two versions have enough in common that I would be able to figure out the basics from the older edition.
This book painlessly introduced me to the basic concepts of Corel Draw, from the weird names for the categories of screen icons (rollups, dockers and flyouts) to the importance of knowing the difference between open and closed paths.

Corel has announced it is officially shutting down its open-source software development site as of 1 March, closing the book on its attempt to develop a user-friendly alternative to Windows.
Canada-based Corel informed developers of the move in a brief note on the site, located at opensource.corel.com: "Please note: this site will no longer be available as of March 1st, 2002." Corel was not immediately available for comment.
Corel was also involved in a project to port its applications to Sun Microsystems' Java language, which also competes with Windows by its platform-independent nature.
