Corella is also a good actor, for instance in the title role of Eugene Loring's "Billy The Kid" which I saw him dance in Paris in 1999.

The leading ballet American company is in the midst of what many see as a new golden age, and Corella is among its brightest stars.
Technically, his dancing in "Giselle" and elsewhere in ABT's demanding repertory is reminiscent of Rudolf Nureyev's prime: the dozen or more turns when ordinary dancers might be happy with three or four, the double air tours into assemble that were a Nureyev trademark, the sheer heart-stopping bravura that makes people gasp and cheer.
And yet, there is something so ineffably @sk,1 sweet about Corella's stage presence that his Albrecht cannot be the cad Nureyev always chose his character to be.
