The corian ones hold up very well - you really can't see scratches - at least on the non-solid colored ones, and are very easy to maintain and clean, and you can choose the type of edges you want on the countertop, too(square, rounded, etc.).
It was white Corian, though, and the overall impression was probably at least as attributable to the color as to the material.
Corian isn't hard to care for, but it does have special needs and you do need to be careful about what you use on it.
