Two East Cork Junior Hurling Championship titles were won in 1930 and 1932 and the East Cork and County Minor Hurling titles were also won in 1932.
East Cork ‘A’ Grade titles were won in 1968 and 1969 and a second ‘B’ grade title was won in 1975.
In 1998 the East Cork title was won for the first time since 1969 and the club went on to win an historic County Junior Hurling title for the first time.

Going on how thoroughly shite the Cork footballers are, I'm suggesting that one of the problems football has is it's inability or unwillingness to tap into a rich vein of footballing talent in the rest of the county.
And the whole east of the county is the opposite of the further west.
I played GAA in East Cork and, while it's a hurling stronghold, there was no clear distinction in how seriously the two codes were taken, in our club(s) at least.

Sarah Cunningham initiated the East Cork Early Music Festival in 2003 which has built a loyal, enthusiastic and growing audience.  She plays Marin Marais at Fota House on Thursday 15th Sept with Sarah Groser also on viola da gamba and Malcolm Proud on harpsichord.
With support from Cork 2005, Cork County Council and the Arts Council, the quality and range of the East Cork Early Music Festival creates an event which should not be missed.
