Despite all their credentials, the 1997 final will be remembered for the contribution of one man, Eddie Steede of Corofin whose heroic contribution guided his club to a fourth title of the decade.
Corofin, who also have been the underage specialists, had youth and experience in their side that helped them to clinch a fourth title of the decade.
The much vaunted Corofin young guns failed to sparkle, and it was their veteran leader of the attack, Eddie Steede, who showed that at 34 years of age he can still show how it is done.

When the parish church at Kilnaboy fell into disrepair and the necessary support was not forthcoming to renovate it, Catherine considered the siting of a new church at Corofin which as a town was growing rapidly and was more central for the parishes of Rath and Kilnaboy, now united, and served by the same vicar.
A century later St. Catherine's needed alteration and renovation, and by 1829 the steeple and vestry had been added, all done with the aid of a loan of £369 from the Board of First Fruits.

Opposition is growing in the Co Clare village of Corofin to plans to house 20 asylum seekers in the village's only tourist hostel.
Local people first heard rumours which were confirmed this week by the Asylum Support Services section of the Department of Justice, that 20 asylum seekers are to be housed in the tourist hostel, located in the centre of the village.
The programme is controlled by the Directorate for Asylum Support Services, which was established by the Department of Justice.

Although the basics of dance and music workshops in Italy are similar to workshops anywhere else, a ceili or "festa" is open to a wider public.

Patrick emigrated and was in Lawrence MAss in 1851.
