Corsham is a small town in northwest Wiltshire in England, close to both Bath and Chippenham.
Camilla Parker Bowles (who later married Charles, Prince of Wales, and assumed the title Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall) is a noted former resident of Corsham; when she moved to the nearby village of Lacock in 1995, she sold her house to the Pink Floyd musician Nick Mason.
This area is the part of Corsham which is on the A4, once the main road from London to Bristol.

Corsham Court was a Royal Manor in the days of the Saxon Kings and currently is the home to Lord Methuen, The home is based on an Elizabethan house dating from 1582.
The intricate plasterwork of the ceiling is mirrored in the pattern of the carpet specially commisioned by the 4th Lord Methuen and made in 1959 by the Royal Tapestry and Carpet factory in Madrid.
The grounds to Corsham Court were planned by "Capability" Brown and were later finished by John Nash and Thomas Bellamy.

 Box Tunnel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
At the time of opening it was the longest railway tunnel in the world, though the Standedge and several other canal tunnels were longer.
The dramatic western portal, near Box, is designed in the classical style, but the eastern portal, at Corsham, has a plain brick face.
When the two ends of the tunnel were joined underground there was found to be less than 5cm (2in) error in their alignment.

Corsham is an interesting place in that, although it is now a medium sized (for Wiltshire) town, it has never had the status of a town and no one is certain as to when it ceased to be regarded as a village and was looked upon as a town.
Growth of the housing area of Corsham town was fairly limited in the second half of the 19th century and in 1886 housing was still in the early area of High Street and Church Street with housing along the Pickwick Road from the Methuen Arms with new developments in Paul Street and Alexandra Terrace.
Corsham has always had a good supply of water from local wells and springs but when a local water company provided a piped supply in 1889 it was brought from Coxwell, near the top of Naish Hill in Lacock parish.

Passing through Corsham is the Great Western Railway line built by the famous Victorian engineer, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, this is the main line from London to Bristol and South Wales.
On the outskirts of the town is the entrance of the railway tunnel, known as Box Tunnel, was at the time it was built between 1836-41, the longest railway tunnel in Europe at around two miles.
The site is called "Burlington" and was a miniature replica of Whitehall in London complete with a pub and sections for all the government departments in time of war.
