I suggest they come over to the train station and try to get a seat on those trains on a Tuesday or a Wednesday morning.
Starting Oct. 26, Metro-North plans to eliminate the 7:39, which stops only at the Croton-Harmon and Ossining stations before arriving at Grand Central Terminal at 8:43 a.m.
Metro-North spokeswoman Marjorie Anders said the change would improve service for commuters farther north in Dutchess County by offering faster express service from Poughkeepsie, New Hamburg and Beacon, without any hardship to northern Westchester commuters.
