		The Palm Crow (Corvus palmarum) is a relatively small fl bird in the crow family that occurs mostly on the large Caribbean island of Hispaniola, itself divided into the two countries of Dominican Republic and Haiti.
		Binomial name Corvus sinaloae Davis, 1958 The Sinaloan Crow or Sinaloa Crow (Corvus sinaloae) is both physically identical to and the same length (34-38 cm) as the Tamaulipas Crow (Corvus imparatus) to which it is very closely related except that the tail is very slightly longer.
		The fourth species from this region, the Palm Crow, Corvus palmarum would appear to be a later arrival (at least in evolutionary terms) and shows affinities with both the Fish Crow and the two Mexican species of North America.

They're smart, know how to enjoy life, sometimes love to socialize and other times be alone, and they somehow manage to combine a savage independence with a fierce loyalty to their clan and family.
		I teach biology at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, in Menomonie, Wisconsin.
		I have been involved in a summer program at Stout in which we explore, with upper-elementary and secondary educators, what science is, and contrast it with pseudoscience, such as astrology (see Stout Science for Educators link above).
