Founded in 1976 by Brian Cosgrove and Mark Hall, Cosgrove Hall Films was part of Thames Television until 1993.
Originally he was a villain/henchman recurring in the Dangermouse series, but got a spinoff series in 1988 that rapidly became one of Cosgrove Hall's most successful series.
In 1997 Cosgrove Hall films produced two series for Channel 4 based on Pratchett's Discworld series.

The first production for Cosgrove Hall was a stop-motion animated series about a large, friendly dragon called Chorlton, and his friends, the Wheelies, so called because they moved around on three wheels rather than legs.
Brian Cosgrove yet again based one of his drawings on a real life person; he was watching an interview with Roald and his daughter Sophie and sketched Sophie based on her namesake.
Cosgrove Hall worked on this project with the legendary animator Chuck Jones as director, and the production won a clutch of awards, including an International Emmy and a Silver Hugo.

This is about Cosgrove Hall, and what was probably my favorite cartoon when I was a kid: Danger Mouse.
Although, I do have to wonder how many of the hipsters and club kids who downloaded The Grey Album are familiar with the character from whom DJ Danger Mouse took his name; but I digress.
Cosgrove Hall is quite a good animation studio and Danger Mouse was, I submit to you an excellent example of British wit and humor, sheer comedic genius belonging with the likes of none other than Faulty Towers and Monty Python’s Flying Circus!
