The Council of Rome was a meeting of Western church officials and theologians which took place in 382 under the authority of Pope Damasus I.
On arrival they received a letter from the synod of Milan, inviting them to a great general council at Rome; however they indicated that they must remain where they were, because they had not made any preparations for such long a journey.
On this theory the so-called "Damasine List" from would be the earliest Western list of the Biblical canon promulgated by a council, two years earlier than the publication of the first instalment of the Latin Vulgate.

The Council also freed Jerusalem from the jurisdiction of Ceasarea and gave it fifth place among honor, thus creating what is know by the Orthodox as the 'Pentarchy'.
Also, it was during this council that the bishops in each city received the title "Patriarch." The Patriarchates then divided the whole of the known world into spheres of jurisdiction, except for Cyprus, which had been granted independence by the third Council and remains self-governing to this day.
It was Rome, after all, who stayed most true to the faith during many of the heresies over the centuries.

Indeed, the Rome Statute suggests that the Assembly of States Parties is competent to define aggressions, even though this is a matter left to the Security Council by the UN Charter.
We are disappointed at the failure of the Security Council to renew a resolution requesting the ICC not to commence or proceed with the investigation or prosecution of personnel from non-parties to the Rome Statute with respect to acts or omissions connected with their participation in UN missions.
The absence of successors to Security Council Resolutions 1422 and 1487 reflects the demise of a compromise that respected the strongly held views of those who support the ICC and the equally strongly held views of those who do not.

Robber Council of 869-870 - OrthodoxWiki
The Robber Council of 869-870 was a council held in Constantinople called by Emperor Basil I the Macedonian and Pope Adrian II, meeting from October 5, 869 to February 28, 870.
The acts of this council were eventually abrogated at the Eighth Ecumenical Council, held in Constantinople in 879-880.
This latter council was held to be ecumenical by both East and West until the 11th century, when Rome repudiated the council of 879-880 and retroactively regarded the council of 869-870 to be the Eighth Ecumenical Council, but which the Orthodox Church continues to regard as a robber council.

The increasing insignificance of the "regionary" and "palatine" clergy, from the middle of the twelfth century, coupled with the disappearance of the judices palatini, tended to enlarge the share of the cardinals in the administration of papal justice and finances, also of the fiefs of the Holy See and of the States of the Church.
The Council of Basle decreed that it was the duty of the cardinals, first individually and then as a college, to reprove any pope forgetful of his duty, or acting in a way that no longer corresponded to his exalted position (Hardouin, Acta Conc., VIII, 1208).
