After more than a decade of churning out Orthodox Black Metal, Countess is still going strong and on June 6, 2006 the tenth full-length Countess album "Holocaust Of The God Believers" has been released through the bands long-time label Barbarian Wrath.
Countess' unique and harsh style of metal, characterized by an uncompromising loyalty to the old Heavy Metal and Black Metal traditions but by no means unoriginal, has certainly gone through changes over the years, but its essence has always remained the same.

In 1911, the Countess was jailed for the first time for her part in the demonstrations that took place against the visit of George V. In the lock-out of 1913, she ran a soup kitchen to aid those who who could not afford food.
