The Earl of Lichfield is a title originally created in the peerage of England that has twice become extinct and was recreated in the peerage of the United Kingdom.
The subsidiary titles of the present Earl of Lichfield are Viscount Anson, of Shugborough and Orgrave in the County of Suffolk, and Baron Soberton, of Soberton in the County of Southampton.
The fifth Earl, Thomas Patrick John Anson, was more commonly known as the society photographer Patrick Lichfield he died at the age of 66 on the 11th November 2005 after suffering a major stroke.

Charlotte Lee, Countess of Lichfield (5 September 1664–17 February 1718), formerly Lady Charlotte FitzRoy, was the daughter of Barbara Palmer, Countess of Castlemaine (née Barbara Villiers, later 1st Duchess of Cleveland) and King Charles II of England and Scotland.
Lady Charlotte was married to Sir Edward Lee at the age of 9.
When Charles Stewart, 6th Duke of Lennox died in 1673, Sir Edward was created Earl of Lichfield.

He did, however, have several children by a number of mistresses (many of whom were wives of noblemen); many of his mistresses and illegitimate children received dukedoms or earldoms.
He publicly acknowledged fourteen children by seven mistresses; six of those children were borne by a single woman, the notorious Barbara Villiers, Countess of Castlemaine, whom Charles granted the Dukedom of Cleveland.
Upon Edward's death, she married Henry Graham (son and heir to Col. James Graham), and upon his death she wed James Rooke in 1707.

 Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability
Leonora, Countess of Lichfield, visited the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability on 28th January to help start its 150th anniversary celebrations.
The Countess, who is also the hospital’s President, joined patients, staff and volunteers at a monthly coffee morning, before visiting several wards and hospital departments, including Occupational Therapy and Staff Development.
The Countess was also the special guest at an Award Ceremony, where she presented certificates to over 50 members of staff.
