German traders and missionaries first began to settle in the Baltic region, already occupied by Estonians, Lithuanians, and Latvians, in the 12th century.

Due to living through years of Tatar attacks and the resulting poverty Christoph Hartknoch's body gave up at age 43 and he died in Toruń, where he was then buried.
His extensive scientific body of works were a great contribution to the knowledge about Prussia, Pomerania, Samogitia, Courland (Couronia) and Poland.
In his book on Prussian history Hartknoch also features an illustration of Nicolaus Copernicus.

Why would anybody in Estonia want to unite modern ethno-jazz with the cultural heritage of an almost extinct national group that is as good as unknown to the outside world; not to mention sing in a language, which, although beautiful, is understandable to only a few?
The Livonians are an almost extinct Balto-Finnic nation, living in the coastal villages of northern Couronia in Latvia by the Baltic Sea.
In order to find answers to these questions, I arranged an interview with Julgi Stalte, after the group performed at the annual Jazzkaar festival in Tallinn.

I am trying to generate some art work on German transport a/c, to include medivac a/c, which were active in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, 1941-1945 - or which may have been assigned to other Luftflotten, but landed in same for whatever reason.
I understand that most of these were Ju-52's, but I also understand that in 1945, a flight of Junkers Ju-90's flew from Norway to Couronia (Kurland) to help evacuate wounded soldiers.
I would be most appreciative, if I could be pointed in the right direction, so I can locate some pictures in publications (and text references), which I can then use as a source for my art work projects.
