		Covington, Wash. — The Rotary Club of Covington, Washington, in cooperation with the Kent School District, The Covington Washington Chamber of Commerce and the elected officials and staff of the City of Covington were successful in raising over $11,300 in the Covington to Covington event which occurred on Sunday, September 11.
		The City of Covington and the Kiwanis Club of the Foothills are coordinating a cleanup and restoration project at Jenkins Creek Park with local service organizations and City staff.

		Leonard was a ham radio operator, and he worked with the Queen City Emergency Net, a volunteer group of operators that gives the Red Cross information during disasters.
		Survivors include his wife, Floretta Sweeney Brown of Covington; a daughter, Franetta B. Frederick of Cincinnati; and three grandchildren.
		Leonard, who died Thursday at 78 at Hospice of Cincinnati, served the Kroger Company from 1956 to 1989, rising to the position of vice president and general counsel.

		I always thought he was buried on Covington Hill between two large trees in front of Kimballs house which was painted a blueish gray.
