Coweta County Fire Department was formed on November 24, 1972, by a group of citizens led by Barry Bass who could see a need for fire protection for the citizens of Coweta County.
On July 15, 1975, Coweta County Fire Department was responsible for the County's fire rating being lowered to a Class 9 from a Class 10.
Conway Mizell of the Insurance Service Office stated that the growth of the county fire department was one of the most dramatic developments of any fire protection system he had ever seen in his long time career with the rating bureau in Georgia.

The opinion concludes that the county is without authority to pass an ordinance not relating to one of the three exceptions.

 Tenney's of Coweta County, Georgia
She is apparently a widow in the 1820, Wilkinson County, Georgia census.
He enlisted in the Confederate army at the age of seventeen and served nearly four years as a member of Company B., 1st Georgia Cavalry; was wounded in the battle near London Ky., on the 17th of August, 1862, but returned as soon as able for duty and served until peace wa declared.
For this crime he was tried in Meriwether Superior Court last fall and acquitted, his daughter testifying that key was responsible for her ruin, as the father had charged in justification of his act.
