		A coydog, or dogote as they are sometimes called, is the hybrid offspring of a coyote (Canis latrans) and a dog (Canis lupus familiaris).
		Coydogs were once believed to be present in large numbers in Pennsylvania due to Coyotes being in decline and domestic dogs being available as mates.
		Wild coydogs and dogotes can cause problems for humans, as they allegedly have the infamous cunning of coyotes but lack coyotes' natural fear of humans.

		I don't have a problem with my coydog other than that I had some trouble understanding him until he was taken to the proper vet which meant travelling to another city and going to a University Clinic that specializes in animal behavior.
		I was mostly going on the assumption that the average veterinarian would be more likely to know what to do with a coydog than the average person, and I'd like to think that one would have the sense to direct a person who just came into the possession of a coydog to the appropriate specialist.
		I don't imagine a coydog would be likely to end up as someone's pet unless picked up as a "stray" and taken to be a nondescript mutt...which...wouldn't be entirely inaccurate.

		Coydog Café is the rather mysterious title for Monique MacNaughton's second online comic after UNA Frontiers, which I reviewed last time.
		There are print versions of Coydog Café that precede the online story (titled "He Crossed his Neck with Thunder"), but MacNaughton catches the reader up quickly and those stories aren't necessary to the understanding of this one.
		One could argue that this subplot is the more interesting one because it involves more action and some very fantastic elements, but the real triumph of Coydog Café is the way that the Sky/Mariah story line simultaneously develops their characters and the world in which they live.

		Biggamehunteria, I hear several people say every year that they saw a coydog or their neighbor shot a coydog and I always just kind of shake my head and ignore it because, as you stated, it just doesn't happen very much.
		Once again, nothing is for certain but my vote is for a coydog and I never thought I'd hear myself say that.

		Someone thought that it was a coydog, but I had seen one before and I'm pretty sure it was not a coydog!
		We have loads of Coydogs round here - and each litter can look a lil different - it depends largely on the breed of domestic dog the female Yote bred with...
		Heck I'd have to say it's impossible to have a 'coydog' up there because according to the natives there are no coyotes to breed a domestic dog to begin with.

		That's right, Monique MacNaughton aka "Coydog" and her partner writer Darryl Hughes (that's me.) have just signed with SMASH Comics, a brand new label by Lightningstrike Publishing, that begins release of it's new comic line this summer.
		The comic "G.A.A.K: Groovy Ass Alien Kreatures" is a Spielbergian homage to those cool old 50's style creature feature movies that we all grew up watching like "The Invaders from Mars" with a dash of "The Goonies" thrown in for flavor.
		Monique (Coydog) is actually the 3rd artist to work on GAAK.
