The Philadelphia Flyers announced today that they have released Assistant Coach Craig Hartsburg from his contract, according to club General Manager Bob Clarke.
Hartsburg, 45, had served as an assistant coach for the Flyers for the past two seasons after rejoining the organization in May of 2002.
It is the second time that Hartsburg had won OHL Coach of the Year honors; he first won the award after leading the Guelph Storm to the OHL Finals in 1995.
