Craigellachie, situated on the Eastern bank of the River Spey, is an excellent venue for salmon fishing, walking the world famous Speyside Way, mountain biking and of course is on the Moray Malt Whisky Trail.
Craigellachie itself is a village relying on the whisky industry and is home to the Speyside Cooperage, where local professional coopers make whisky casks.
The Craigellachie Telford Bridge is a spectacular sight for those interested in architecture while the Green Hall Gallery in Victoria Street, Craigellachie is of value to people interested in prints and paintings by resident Maggie Riegler and hand made Scottish gifts.

Craigellachie, BC Craigellachie (IPA: /kɹəˈgɛləxi/, but /k/ or /h/ can be substituted for /x/; /ˌkɹeɪgəˈlæki/ is another common pronunciation) is a locality in British Columbia, Canada, located several kilometres to the west of the Eagle Pass summit.
It was named after the village of Craigellachie on the River Spey in Moray, Scotland, the ancestral home of Sir George Stephen, the first president of the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR).
Craigellachie is most famous for being the site of the "Last Spike" of the CPR, driven by Sir Donald Smith, a director of the CPR, on November 7, 1885.

Situated at the junction of the Fiddich and Spey rivers in Moray, Craigellachie is a terraced village that looks towards Craigellachie Rock, the traditionally lower boundary of Strathspey and the lands of the Clan Grant whose war-cry is 'Stand fast Craigellachie!'.
It lies on the 'Malt Whisky Trail' at the junction of the A95 and A941 roads, 2 miles (3 km) east of Charlestown of Aberlour and 3 miles (5 km) south of Rothes and is the home of a cooperage that makes casks for the whisky industry.
The Spey is crossed here by the 45.7m (150-foot) span of the Craigellachie Bridge which was built between 1812 and 1815 by Thomas Telford.
