The Craigieburn railway line is a greater-metropolitan subsection of the Albury-Wodonga and Shepparton lines in Victoria, Australia.
The line continues from the Broadmeadows line with all services departing from Spencer Street Station in the CBD.
The line is to be electrified and will have a new station built at Roxburgh Park around 2006.

The best two club fields are Craigieburn, which has a reputation for being the most difficult mountain in the southern hemisphere, and Mount Olympus, the most remote of the club fields with the fewest skiers and the most powder because it is a south facing ski field.
After skiing Craigieburn a few times I got to know some of the club members and really felt at home there, and I felt that my lift ticket was a contribution to keeping the ski field running.
At Craigieburn, there are an endless variety of chutes that funnel into three bowls.

Mother Nature (the bitch she was) decided to leave the mountains a bit short on the white stuff this year but the top part of the mountain was actually really good snow and skiing for July and August.
Craigieburn’s terrain is so wide open with steep fall lines and makes any other resort I have seen look like a bunny hill.
The terrain is all very basic compared to Craigieburn however I did manage to hike to the top of the Volcano my first day there (taking about 1 hr) and all I have to say it was breath taking at the top..One of the most beautiful things I have seen in my life so far..

I recently heard an Upfield line worker tell how her mother-in-law in the 1920s expected to be retrenched in order to close the line.
It is in fact the original railway line to Sydney, and although it is electrified only as far as Upfield, the line itself continues on to the new satellite fringe suburbs of Roxburgh Park and Craigieburn.
If this upgrade is not carried out, a worker on the line could be telling of previous attempts to close it down to the campaigners wanting to save the Upfield line in the year 2020.

It calls for the upgrading of the Upfield railway line, improving the frequency of trains and the provision of trains after 7 p.m.
The report also calls for the extension of the line to nearby Craigieburn to form a loop with the Broadmeadows line.
All that is needed is electrification of the Broadmeadows and Upfield lines to Somerton, where they meet, and then on to nearby Craigieburn to form a loop similar to the Hornsby lines in Sydney.
