Cranbrook is a city of approximately 25,000 located in the East Kootenay region of the Province of British Columbia, Canada.
Cranbrook was incorporated as a municipality in 1905, but was established previously to this in 1898 as a consequence of the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway line through the Crow's Nest Pass to Nelson, British Columbia.
Cranbrook is the area center for the East Kootenay region which stretches from the Alberta/Britsh Columbia border on the east to about 60 miles west of the City.

A lady called from Fernie, British Columbia this morning (September 13, 2003) and told me she just read an article in the Fernie Free Press on HBCC UFO and the sightings around the southern interior.
She went on to say that her and her family had drove to Cranbrook, B.C. to attend a family members wedding on July 26, 2003.
While they were in Cranbrook they stayed at a friends home which was approx; 15 kilometers west of Cranbrook.
