Sixteen years after the release of its first record, Creation was admitting that its dream of independence was no longer viable.
Creation, the label founded by working class Glaswegian firebrand McGee, began in the mid-80's as a pop-psychedelia imprint and went on to launch the careers of Primal Scream, The Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine, The Boo Radleys, Ride, The House of Love and Super Furry Animals.
Creation also immersed itself in acid house and Ecstasy culture at the end of the 80's, achieving a critical and commercial breakthrough with Primal Scream's 1991 album, Screamadelica.

RSO Records was a record label, formed in partnership with Polydor Records by rock and roll and musical theatre impresario Robert Stigwood in the late 1960s, after the death of his business partner and mentor Brian Epstein.
Founded in 1983 by Scot Alan McGee, Creation Records eventually became the self-professed “International Guardians of Rock and Roll,” an ironic title for a label whose guitar music went from invention to retread.
Creation’s first pivotal release was the Jesus and Mary Chain’s “Upside Down,” which spent seven weeks at No. 1 on the UK independent chart and sold upwards of 35,000 copies.

In fact, current evidence laws generally do not require records to be in any particular form and increasingly recognize that a requirement to provide a record can be met by a variety of electronic formats, such as a digital image of an original paper record that was converted to electronic form.
Given the inherent complexity of managing electronic records and the many possible avenues of attack on their credibility, organizations need to ensure that records are properly managed from creation to disposition to ensure that they will satisfy their legal, regulatory, and operational needs.
Some electronic records are searchable only by their file name, used by the author or creator of the record.

NARA - Mid Atlantic Region, Philadelphia - About Records Management
An effective records disposition program is the key to successful records management, which, in turn, ensures that Government activities are documented properly, efficiently, and economically.
IRM is concerned with the creation, maintenance and use, and disposition of information as well as with related resources, or assets, such as personnel, equipment, funds, and technology.
Since each agency is legally obligated to create and maintain adequate and proper documentation of its organization, functions, and activities, it needs to issue recordkeeping requirements for all activities at all levels and for all media and to distinguish records from nonrecord materials and personal papers.

Alan McGee may have been basking in the glow of the Oasis millions when his label issued a press release bearing those words, but his success was far from conventional.
Creation was started with a £1000 bank loan by punk fan McGee, and was initially run from his house as a vehicle for pursuing his own puritanical tastes.
And although it was founded in 1983, its glory years perfectly mirrored the rise and fall of British rock music in the 90s, from the rave rock crossover of Screamadelica to the bloated folly of Oasis' Be Here Now.

 Final Report on Streamlining Authorities
Two standards-based solutions to streamlining authority record creation are examined: revision of the rules for references in the Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules, 2nd edition, and the associated Library of Congress Rule Interpretations; and the use of a "core" authority record.
If you found a PCC bibliographic record for an item and a cross-reference seemed to be appropriate for one or more of the names, each PCC cataloger might have to check the authority record to see if cross-references had been added, since their presence could not be reliably predicted.
Another approach to the streamlining of authority record creation is to provide catalogers with machine-assisted aids to create standard references, while maintaining the current practice of explicitly stating these references in the authority record.
