The monument and a large area around has now been purchased for the public and there is a great opportunity to clear these trees from the site and make it possible for people to properly appreciate the scale of the county’s largest ancient monument.

This is Herefordshire | CommuniGate | Swifts battle but fall at Credenhill.
As always this fixture is played in a highly competitive spirit, but it was Credenhill who had the better of the early exchanges and should have took the lead in the first minute, when the striker was put through, but he shot wide.
With only 4 minutes of the half remaining Credenhill equalised, when after a long stoppage for a clash of heads Swifts went to sleep from the restart, slack marking aloud the striker plenty of time to easily score.
Then midway through the half Swifts were stunned when Credenhill took the lead, when a quick break down the left caughtthe defence out, the player then ran on to place the ball into the far corner.

The ASNW of Credenhill Park Wood is even aged, dominated by mature Oak high forest and characterised by a lack of regeneration, sparse understorey and bramble domination.
The fallow deer herd covers the wider landscape including Dinmore hill, yet it is considered that Credenhill Park Wood is an important feature within that range as indicated by the presence of several rutting stands.
The reserve at Credenhill Park Wood has been massively reduced with the conversion to plantation leaving very few ancient yews on the ramparts and ash coppice stumps grouped to the north of the scheduled ancient monument.

18 Credenhill Farming was authorised to participate in a non-marketing scheme for a period of five years from 14 November 1980 to 13 November 1985.
Since it considered itself to be bound by the non-marketing undertaking given by Credenhill Farming, Ecroyd Limited did not, during the remainder of the five-year period covered by that undertaking, produce milk on the land previously farmed by Credenhill Farming, although it gave no written undertaking to that effect.
The reasoning of the Court of Justice in Wehrs did not apply to the applicant because that judgment concerned only the situation of an assignee of a non-marketing premium, which was not the situation in which Ecroyd Limited found itself.

Ecroyd Limited continued to produce milk on the five farms which it operated as tenant and in respect of which it applied for, and in 1984 obtained, primary quota under Article 2 of Regulation No 857/84 (2 001 338 kg).
Since Ecroyd Limited had not signed a non-marketing undertaking when it took over Credenhill Farming's holding, it followed that it was not entitled to a special reference quantity.
The applicant should therefore have been classified as a `transferee' of a non-marketing obligation within the meaning of Article 1(1) of Regulation No 2055/93 on 30 September 1984, that is to say the date on which Credenhill Farming was dissolved and its assets transferred to Ecroyd Limited.
