  Classic-Horror Review of Creep (2004)
Creep is an admirable and interesting but also flawed entry, ultimately falling somewhere in between Don Coscarelli’s fun flick and second-rate efforts like Jeepers Creepers.
The titular creep is actually revealed in the second reel and Smith jettisons suspense in favor of grue and carnage.
Creep is definitely not going to set the world alight, but it’s a fun way to spend an hour and a half.

The Film Asylum Review - Creep (Franka Potente, Sean Harris)
Take one of the most memorable scenes from the classic John Landis movie ‘American Werewolf in London’ and base a whole film around the premise of a killer stalking the tunnels of the London underground, brutally slaying all those unlucky enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
This would be ‘Creep’ then, a German/British combo project which replaces Landis’ wolf for a monstrous humanoid, and instead of the Yorkshire moors as the play ground for our films villain; we instead get the shadowy underworld of twisting tunnels and shafts.

Creep [Franka Potente] - Polly Staffle - Movie & DVD Reviews
The first half of the movie is very suspenseful and it seems like a long time before we ever see who is doing the killing.
The Creep is no super human that those things wouldn’t work like Freddy, Michael or Jason, it’s just Smith doesn’t go for the typical cheesy horror movie ending with several false death scenes, an overused twist or the door open for a sequel.
All and all, “Creep” is an excellent movie with plenty of suspense and blood and guts to go a long with it.

I've seen non fictional horror movie creatures before but this guy just blows my mind and another great thing he managed to do was scare me, and a job well done I say.
The movie is a great horror and its not to be doubted in anyway at all that this movie is scary because it is. We get loads of blood, a great killer and amazing surrounds so surely this movie is too good to be true.
Wrong, Creep hits all but the main spot that makes a movie a classic, this spot they didn't touch, its just a great movie but not got the x factor that everyone movie wants to have.

Although Creep does not forge any new ground in slasher film territory, it retreads the staples of early eighties slasher vehicles into a film that is vibrant and exciting.
Creep is the story of a German woman named Kate, played by Franka Potente, who falls asleep in a subway station and wakes up to find she is locked in with some sort of nearly inhuman killer.
Creep is not a perfect film, but it is very good, very unique, and a film that many will remember.

 Creep London Movie Review
The first half of Creep is suspenseful and extremely effective, largely thanks to the familiarity of its location and set-up, since drunkenly falling asleep and missing the last tube home is, of course, a fear that anyone can relate to.
Inevitably, then, the film falls apart once the Creep is actually revealed and Smith jettisons suspense in favour of gore and general creepiness.
The problem is that the Creep itself is actually rather silly and the film lacks the inventive touch of Death Line, which had the plaintive cry of “Mind the Doors!” as the only words the creature knew.

Movie Review - Creep - eFilmCritic   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-20)
We're told she's German (although her speech is unaccented enough that we likely wouldn't guess), but really don't learn enough about her background to know whether she's particularly well- or ill-suited to this kind of adventure, or which kinds of threats she can handle better than others.
It is legitimately disgusting/horrifying, and thus, arguably, successful for a horror movie, but when's something grisly enough, the audience may wind up just wanting out, looking away rather than not being able to.
The movie was right at that line with me, which means some folks just aren't going to take it.

 Creep Review - FilmFocus.Co.UK
In 'Creep' it comes when the terrorized heroine is standing on a deserted Tube platform next to the cooling corpse of a man who earlier had tried to rape her and who has just been offed most efficiently by some unseen boogeyman.
This movie is scary, interesting and engenders a level of care in all the characters, even if they have only been on screen for a short while.
Having read the review of Creep my only concern is that it is too flattering on a movie which shows, in a pretty graphic way, how not to make a movie or how to make a really bad one.

 Creep - Movie Review
Creep, starring the usually lovely Franka Potente (Run Lola Run), is a British variation on the geek show and offers nothing new or even remotely interesting.
Instead, I see a great number of films, like Creep, that try and emulate the horror films of the ‘70s but lack any real conviction.
I’m sure her motivation must have been monetary because had she read the script with any sort of critical eye she’d have quickly released that this is a real stinker.

Creep - Interview with Chris Smith and Franka Potente
In Christopher Smith’s new horror flick “Creep”, a simple tube ride becomes a blood-curdling fight for survival.
And then I was told about a movie called Deathline (1997) after I’d written it, that there was already a horror movie about the underground called Deathline and I raced off to the video shop, watched it and was full of relief when I discovered it was nothing like mine!
I wanted it so that the audience fed on what they considered to be their own idea of what the ‘creep’ was.

Unfortunately, the problem with movies venturing into this genre is that they walk a fine line between being completely idiotic messes and actually being able to balance the zombie-horror element with comedy.
We quickly learn that Michael is an alien abduction victim (the very same aliens blamed for the rise of the undead) and that he has been dropped off in the woods without his clothes, his girlfriend, and most importantly to him, his car.
True, this movie does not have as many zombie lesbian scenes as most people would like to see (there is just the one), but that is true of any movie you can name from "Citizen Kane" to almost every version of "Pride & Prejudice" that you can name.

That's okay though as this C or D horror film (couldn't even bring myself to classify it as a B) leads you through a small Southern town and its fight (or lack thereof) to not be taken over by flesh eating zombies.
This is by no means a great movie folks but it gets by a bit with its strange mixture of bad one liners, townsfolk who just don't seem all that concerned about flesh eating zombies (as evidenced by parties still going on and impromptu church sermons) and gratuitous boob and buttock shots.
All in all Hide and Creep is a movie worth watching if you happen to catch it on or happen to see it on the cheap rack at the video store.

Creep - Movie Review by Adnan Khan - TEN Movies
"Creep" starts off relatively low-key in its introduction of our protagonist, Kate (Franka Potente), a trendy party girl who fancies celebrity lord George Clooney and wants to "shag him." (Note: Clooney never appears in person though the screenwriter does conveniently arrange for the unseen heartthrob to be in London).
On her rendezvous to meet George, as is usually the case, fate steps in.
There are conscious attempts to evoke empathy for our villain, but nothing can condone one particular scene of macabre: it involves a woman who pleads for her life while strapped to an operation table and a saw grinding both flesh and bone.

 Creep - Movie Review
Brit writer-director Christopher Smith presents his first full feature-length offering with 'Creep', a grubby little horror flick about a Gollum look-a-like hiding in the London Underground and doing all sorts of nasty things to complete strangers.
It stars the once-promising Franka Potente as Kate, a German party gal who's on her way to woo George Clooney (and not, disappointingly, David Hasselhoff) when she nods off at Charing Cross Station, misses the last train, and ends up locked in for the night.
The decision to allow us to see the villain in full light halfway into the film is also a major error, particularly as he's instantly recognisable as a bloke in a body stocking with some unconvincing make-up plastered onto the outside.

 Stopping Movie Ratings Creep
Whether it's the content ratings on television shows, video games, or the granddaddy of ratings, the Motion Picture Association of America's movie ratings system, parents have to be concerned that the ratings standards are often sloppily imposed and contradictory.
Too many parents have taken children to adventure movies they assumed would be light and they find darkness instead.
Summer is the hottest time for the movies, and the Harvard study is the latest proof that children need their parents to take the time to care if popular culture is going to undo what parents try to do in the daily job of forming future men and women of character.

The funny thing is the movie isn't so much about Thorsby, Alabama, as it exists now, but the way I remember it from 15 years ago, when I was in high school.
Hopefully, we can get the movie into some local stores on DVD at some point, and more local folks will see the movie and be kind enough to let us know what they think of it.
I did try to give HIDE AND CREEP a similar type of dry, sometimes dark humor, and the structure of the movies is similar in some ways, with both featuring three or four separate stories going on that are kind of interwoven by the end.
