Cadbury Creme Egg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Creme eggs are usually sold individually, but are also available in packets of three, four, six, and twelve, and in boxes of fifteen and twenty four.
While filled eggs were first manufactured by the Cadbury Brothers in the early 1920s, the Creme Egg in its current form was not released until 1971.
The eggs are manufactured at the Bournville factory in Birmingham at the rate of 1.5 million per day, and also at other Cadbury factories in countries such as New Zealand.

Cadbury Schweppes plc | our brands | about our brands | confectionery | Cadbury
Cream filled eggs first became available in 1923, but it was not until the invention of Cadbury Creme Egg in 1971 by the scientists at the Bournville factory in Birmingham, that filled eggs became a national phenomenon.
Cadbury Creme Egg is manufactured by making a chocolate shell in a half-egg shaped mould, which is then filled with white fondant and a dab of yellow fondant to simulate the yolk.
If all the Creme Eggs made by us in one year were stacked one on top of each other they would stretch from the Bournville factory in Birmingham all the way to Australia - that's around 12,000 miles.

 custards101
Eggs are sensitive to high heat and thus, all custard recipes require slow cooking or baking and gentle heat.
Eggs are the key to the chemical reaction that creates custards, and the success of the custard depends on what happens to the eggs.
The American Egg Board says, "When egg mixtures such as custards or sauces are cooked too rapidly, the protein becomes overcoagulated and separates from the liquid leaving a mixture resembling fine curds and whey." This is known as curdling, or syneresis.

The candy center's consistency entirely depends on any number of factors - freshness, temperature at which the Creme Egg is stored, nearby police activity, and Cher's mood.

Not the tiny, foil-wrapped eggs that my parents hid in the back yard (which we would find months later when tiny flickers of pink and brown flew out from underneath the lawnmower) but big, creme-filled hunks; outrageously tall slabs of chocolate; bunnies with our faces carefully chiselled on the front, with whiskers.
When he was finished speaking, he leaned forward and pulled the tea towel off of his secret centrepiece, the model he had been working on for six months, a complete reversal from the companies recent drive for bigger chocolate.
"The egg," Mahoney explained as he placed the tea towel on the back of the chair, "is small but potent." With one of his long, too long arms, Mahoney held out in his palm what looked to be a small Russian souvenir -- a wooden egg bisected down the middle.

Cadbury's creme egg - Review - Creme Egg: How do you eat yours?
The Creme Egg is a Cadbury creation from the 1920's.
The egg comes in a purple and red foil wrap and is basically a hard but thin shell of Cadbury chocolate, obviously shaped like an egg and inside is a soft, white, creamy fondant with an orange centre.
Or if you cant be bothered fiddling around breaking the bigger egg up and making a mess, try the mini size, it comes in bags and tubes.
