The Roul-roul Partridge is also known as the Crested Wood Partridge, Green Wood Partridge or Red-crowned Wood Partridge.
The male, seen in the front in the photograph, has a large red crest, red orbital skin, overall glossy bluish-purple body and red feet and bill.
She lacks the bright crest, has an overall greenish color with chestnut-brown wings, fl bill and red feet.

Description: Large red crest with a white forehead-patch at base of crest, red orbitial skin, overall glossy bluish-purple body and red feet and bill.
Every two days, the partridge are offered a pan of fruits - chopped apple, pear mainstays, alternate with grape, blueberries, plum, banana, papaya (once a month, not a favorite), Kiwi and orange, vegetables - alternate corn (soft), peas, broccoli, carrots, zucchini, sweet potato and chopped greens (alternate romaine, leaf, endive, kale - never iceberg).

The male of this rather plump partridge bears a spectacular maroon crest and sports a glossy fl plumage, which shimmers with green, blue and purple iridescence.
Contrasting starkly with this lustrous dark plumage is the vivid red colouration of the legs, feet, base of the beak, and bare skin encircling the eyes, as well as a conspicuous white forehead patch at the base of the crest.
The female is very different from the male, but equally distinctive, with an olive-green body, chestnut-brown wings, grey head and fl bill.
