 The Romance of a Station
Our train passes under the great Crewe south gantry with its forest of semaphores, and draws up in the station.
The railway station is the pivot of it all.
At some big stations, such as Euston, separate lines exist which not only enable empty trains to be brought into the station without interference with the main running lines, but also enable the empty coaches of arriving trains to be withdrawn in a similar manner.

 Album 5A - Crewe Station
Crewe station was one of the first big stations I used to travel to from my home town of Northwich.
It was just a short ride from Hartford station to Crewe on the Liverpool to Crewe local trains, and I used to tag along with my brother and his friends back as early as 1963.

London Clarets - Pub Guides - Crewe
You've got the railway station, which is handy for everywhere, and the ground actually and unmissably slap bang next to the station, to the point where I refuse to give directions.
If you have some time to spare before the match, better pickings are to be had in and around the town centre (station and ground being united in the fact that they're not in it).
Remember always that Crewe is not what we would call a football town, so the pubs aren't geared up for a thirsty opposition influx.

CREWE NORTH JUNc SUPPORTERS GROUP Welcome to the Website for the Crewe North Junction Supporters Group
South Junction was commissioned on September 22, at which time Station A, Station B and No 3 box, also known as Scissors Crossing (a mechanical box dating from 1878 and left over from the 1870s station alterations), were converted to colour lights and track circuited.
Station A box, which had already been purchased by the council for future display, was re-erected on the site.
The Equipment was disconnected on 12th June 1985, at the start of the complete remodelling of the station, but the box remained as a block post until 19th July to control passenger shuttle trains to Stafford and Chester while the station was closed.

 BEESTON  STATION
The reintroduction of a rail service will mean that we would have a direct rail link to Chester, a rail link to Manchester Airport (Crewe station is being suggested as a check-in point for the airport) and to the main rail network at Crewe, thus reducing the road traffic to those centres.
When Beeston Castle and Tarporley station was closed on April 18 1966 a severe blow was dealt to public transport services in the district, direct connection to the West Coast main line was lost, together with the rail service to Chester and North Wales.
The alternative bus services to Chester and Crewe proved to be inconvenient and we were forced to use cars or taxis or not travel at all.

 Crewe
In the early 1830s Crewe was only a small hamlet with only a wayside station beside a turnpike road.
The original station was constructed in 1849 but was rebuilt eighteen years later with widened platforms and bays to accommodate the extra railway lines.
However, in 1837 the village became the junction of three lines, the Manchester and Birmingham, the Great Junction and the Chester and Crewe.
