The main talent of Crimpshrine however seems to be their lyrics, which were always very well thought out, contemplating things like isolation, alientation and adiction.
Although there were one or two personel changes, the core of the band was Aaron on drums, Jeff on guitar and vocals, and Paul on bass and vocals.
There doesn't seem to be an official Crimpshrine page, but the page put up by Geekamerica isn't bad.

Crimpshrine: Duct Tape Soup: Pitchfork Record Review
Anyone who knows and loves Crimpshrine already owns this album, and on vinyl, no less.
In the context of the mainstream punk revival, Crimpshrine's hoarse, tuneless vocals, tinny guitars, and criminally erratic rhythm section sounds like an overwhemingly bad version of Jawbreaker, another former Bay Area punk-pop outfit.
The only positive thing I can say about Crimpshrine was that they happened to be in the right place at the right time to be later hailed as minor punk deities.

Crimpshrine was a band that came out of the late 80s punk scene in Berkeley, CA.
This is the same scene that fostered Operation Ivy, Dead Kennedys, Green Day, etc. Their music began a new era in the East Bay, one that inspired such bands as Operation Ivy.
Crimpshrine put out an LP called Duct Tape Soup, plus several other releases titled "Sleep, Whats That?" EP, "Quit Talking Claude" EP, "Burning Bridges" EP, "Lame Gig Contest" LP, and songs also appeared on "Caution" Comp, "Lest We Forget" Comp, and the "Turn it Around" Comp.

Crimpshrine did a split with Jawbreaker, and some earlier more raw Jawbreaker can definitely be compared to Crimpshrines more melodic tunes.

Crimpshrine lasted only a few years, but their songs and stories quickly grew to near mythical proportions, including their one (and only) ill-fated tour of the U.S. in a beat-up Pinto.
Though not always pretty, Crimpshrine managed to put an alluring twist on both their sound and lyrics.

Playing aggressive, very political punk rock, they speak their minds clearly and freely through their music.
Even though the music isn't the best, it's easy to tolerate it with plain words provoking thought behind every mushy guitar.
