Cripps Harries Hall, one of the South East's leading regional law firms, has recently rolled out BigHand's TotalSpeech DDS system to over 150 users and found there has been an immediate increase in firm wide work sharing and productivity.
Cripps have used TotalSpeech's suite of management reports to analyse 'work load' distribution across the firm, including the degree to which secretaries from different departments help each other out in busy periods.
Secretaries at Cripps immediately accepted the technology (and the new working practices) and their enthusiasm was key in making the project a success.

Campus 14 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Campus 14 is a bar crawl on the University Park Campus of the University of Nottingham, England.
Following complaints from local hospitals about the number of students requiring medical attention, since 2001 the university has officially banned students from partaking in the event, and staff at hall bars now often refuse to admit or serve students they suspect of attempting the feat.
The crawl is complicated by the relatively short time in which it has to be undertaken; The Hall of Residence bars open at 7pm, and all except the Union bar close by 11pm, making the time limit usually around 20 mins per bar including the walks between them.

From 1994 onwards, Cripps Hall employed a permanent bar manager and so the tradition of the students running the bar came to an end.
This is a shame since it provided students with an opportunity to be involved in running a small business, gave them a great deal of good experiences to look back on in later life and provided them with an endless supply of fun, beer and walnut whips.
However, some good news is that Cripps Hall Bar has student assistant bar managers again (hurray), so I need to catch up on who they were.

If one leaves aside the commissioning of portraits for the College, the Lichterman hangings in the new dining hall represent the only major commissioning of artwork by the College during the twentieth century.
Although the idea for adding hangings to the dining hall has a long history (remarks suggesting such a project are contained in the original architects' design ideas), it was not until the Summer of 1999 that the College launched a national search for an artist or studio from whom to commission such 'tapestries'.
