The median income for a household in the county was $26,547, and the median income for a family was $32,747.

The entire county of Crisp and parts of Macon, Pulaski, Turner, Wilcox and Worth counties were formed from Dooly's original borders.
In the county the population was spread out with 25.60% under the age of 18, 10.30% from 18 to 24, 29.80% from 25 to 44, 22.50% from 45 to 64, and 11.80% who were 65 years of age or older.
The median income for a household in the county was $27,980, and the median income for a family was $35,337.
